Our preschool program is designed to prepare children aged 3 to 5 years old for their transition to kindergarten. We offer a comprehensive curriculum that focuses on developing academic, social, and emotional skills.
Our experienced teachers use play-based learning to help children develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. We also provide opportunities for children to engage in art, music, and physical activity to foster creativity and physical development.
At Little Acorns Child Development Center, we strive to prepare children for a lifetime of learning by providing the skills and tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Little Acorns uses the Frog Street curriculum, which is developmentally appropriate and aligned with recognized early learning standards and best practices supported by NAEYC. Our curriculum incorporates language (English, Spanish, and basic sign language), math, science, reading, music, physical development, and STEAM.
Children’s progress is assessed at Little Acorns in three ways: informal observations, work samples, and anecdotal notes. Assessments on each child’s progress are completed three times per year.
